Sloths are a species of medium-sized arboreal mammals that live in the rainforests of Central and South America. They are weird looking some might say but also have a cute and mild look, inviting you to hug them. Despite their long claws, they are slow and friendly and won’t attack. Their snout is piggy-like and they can be just ADORABLE! Here’s a collection of 20 of these amazing animals in miniature: sloth babies! Enjoy!

Oh, they ARE so cute as babies!!
Sloths are incredibly awesome and the way they move is unbelievably cool.
π
they are all the same animals it should be called 20 pictures of cute baby sloths π
i am very disappointment in this post.
They are adorable ! They look like they are smiling. First time I’m seeing baby sloths and I think they’re so cute!!
Darcy- the title specifically says they are of sloth babies. “20 Pictures of Weird and Cute Animal Babies: The Sloth”
And cute they are! Makes me kind of want one… well, sort of. I think I’ll just stick with our dog and cats.
what a lovely collection of pictures, I love sloths
LOL, Debra! π Dogs and cats might be easier to look after… even though… considering how slow sloths move, they could make interesting pets too.
Hugs!

Sloths actually CAN move fast (or faster than you might expect of a sloth), it’s just that they move slowly to avoid notice from their predators and they WILL attack if they feel threatened.
They are adorable as babies, though.
@kaye: really? O_o I had no idea that they can “speed up” π But they look so friendly and slow and sleepy and all β₯
Can I link to this webpage, from my web site? I’m wanting to gather as many snippets of useful information as I can.
They are all very very adorable.. but it would be interesting to know as to how they came into the care of humans don’t you think? π
if thats not a manbear-pig, i don’t know what is!
OMG .. They are now one of my favorite animals. I love them!!! I am curious though why they are in the care of humans too.
actually I’ve heard that certain species of sloths are vicious and would most likely be playing cats cradle with your large intestines if they feel you get to close to them.
no I have not researched this if you can prove me wrong by all means do so
I heard this on animal planet and I don’t believe that anyone on there would lie about this sort of thing.
Most if not all of these photos were taken at the only existing sloth rescue in Costa Rica. Please visit http://www.slothrescue.org/ and support their work.
They are not vicious, but like any wild animal, will defend themselves if they feel threatened and they do have very large claws.
too cute, such a great creature, well done
So cute! Haven’t seen a few before!
They look like Chewbacca!! Sooo cute, I want to hold one! π
Cute
Mine
As most have said, they are adorable, and I may add, appear to be very content and well loved. Congradulations, my Friend. Good on you.

oh so cute creature. i’ve seen this kind in adult stage. the first time i saw it, i thougt some sympathy because they look helpless always hanging around trees. they are cute in baby stage. i want to hug one if we have any in this country.there’s no substitute (stuffed toy) to a real living huggable creature like this one. Save this specie, please.
cute little creature. can that be kept as house pet? really God’s miracle of His creation— renz
How sad that so many of these magnificent wild spirits are in captivity to be photographed!! Respect the animals by watching them in their natural habitat!!
They are adorable. They look so happy and peaceful!
Wow they’re so lovely. Are they easy to take care of inside the house? How i wish i can have one.
I’ve never seen Sloths. I didn’t even know they existed. I even watch a lot of National Geographic programs and Nature shows on PBS. They are so cute. The photographers did a great job photographing these babies. Great pictures. Thanks for sharing.
