This reminds me of that day.
Whilst tending to my garden I saw a small baby squirrel fall out of a tree some 30 feet up, however he was uninjured. He tried to climb back up but kept falling down, guess he wasn’t strong enough. Anyhow I just watched him hoping the mother would come and help, I didn’t want to risk doing something harmful to the little guy.
However a couple minutes later I noticed a cat stalking him, getting ready to pounce. The squirrel had noticed that cat and was mewling alarmingly while backing into a bush. My heart broke, and I couldn’t bear it and ran over to shoo the cat away. The baby squirrel promptly dashed up my pants leg and crawled under my shirt. I kept trying to put him back at the base of the tree but every time he’d just run and follow me. I went inside, but he mewled at my screen door until I let him in.
So this is how I got to now having a squirrel sitting on me, with me feeding it apples.
